  • *** Update 30.05.2024 ***

Added M8 version as my new stepper motor tensioner is quite strong and the latest version broke easily. Update part list.

    Added corresponding skate bearing holders.

Added one more angle block to fit my new Mirco RS2 seat.

Added Bride seat belt guides as the original broke - tested, work pretty well. You can use them to remix, make them stronger and with built in ball bearing holders.

Added link to the Remix button so you have the sources.

    *** End of Update ***

Universal Roller for Belt Tensioner system. Has two styles for bearing holders - mounting holes inside/outside. Roller can be extended in slices to fit your seat belt guides.

Uses standard bearings and M3/M5 hardware. Stable design, been using mine for more than 6 months without issues.

At first I assembled with M5 screws on each side, worked for a month but then both rollers broke (printing vertically of course is not that strong). Since then switched to full length threaded M5 rod with nuts on each side - no issues whatsoever, holding up nicely.

After my belt guides broke down I extended the design to mount directly on the seat. It needed an additional distancing base for proper positioning. Still holds up pretty nicely, works very well and is quite stable. It is mounted currently on Bride Low Max II seat but should be straightforward adapting it to any seat.

  • Needed hardware:

    1. Ball bearings for M5 - 635zz : 5mm19mm6mm - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001058241232.html
    2. Ball bearings for M8 - 608 2RS 8x22x7mm (skateboard) - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001058241232.html
    3. M3 mounting hardware - 15mm M3 screw and nut
    4. M8/M5 hardware - nuts (cap or regular) and threaded rods by length. Works with M5 bolts but not that stable - avoid that

    Print settings:

Infill at 60%, 5 walls, 5 bottom/top layers for stability. Supports needed only for the roller.

Roller preferably in PETG. Last of my rollers I printed with 9 perimeters, 9 layers top/bottom for extra strength.
