  • The original SimHub Design was reworked to look a little better by Mark T to look a little sleeker and then was passed onto me. Mostly it is his design, but I went with it as really liked the look and made some more changes as follows:

    • Extended the arm to work with 75mm/3" harness
    • Combined the Arm Shield into one part with the correct spacing for 75mm - it requires lot of support, but I prefer it in one part - do not like much gluing prints
    • Reworked the Mag Lock to fit better - flush on the arm, M3 holes go all the way to the top for better stability, tight fit on the magnets
    • Reworked the Mag Holder to fit the small e49ss hall sensor tighter
    • Included the box I used for my project breadboard PCB I used to breakout the connectors
    • Included XT60 connector mount for main power
    • Included adapter for the Rail Support to convert it to 4040 profile - still not tested, but should be enough. 8040 is overkill for my setup.
    • Aliexpress seller sent me one correct and one bigger flange coupler so I printed temporary shim to assemble the tensioner. New one came, I am still with the shim. Included as well in the files

    The package contains all Mark's designs + my modification. All the rest of the needed files can be found on the main SimHub package.

    All assembly instructions, code, files are on the SimHub original project page. It is linked up in the side navigation as well for ease of use - "Guide Button". 

    I did not include the originals on purpose as it is much better to be sourced from SimHub directly ensuring you always have the latest version.

    Print Settings:

    I printed all with 9 walls/layers for extra strength, infill at 40%. All was done in PLA, still no failures more than half a year later.

    Supports are needed only for the Rail Support and the Arm Shield.
