  • *** Update 04.06.2026 - Version 2.0 ***

Version 2 available! Following upgrades added to the design:

    1. Roller assembly redesigned for extra stability - now it can work with much stiffer springs

    2. Added brass inserts on handle to act as guides for the spring rod for extra stability and smoother operation - now shifter has zero play in the mid point

    3. Added case for Arduino Pro Micro

    4. Added bigger longer, thicker handle +  another insert that allows you yo use standard bike grip instead

All files are upgraded on Patreon, you can get them there!

    *** End of Update ***

The 57SEQ MK-1 is full-sizes sequential shifter targeted at Rally/Drift sim racing enthusiasts. It has double stage engage simulated by springed roller and interchangeable cam plate. If you opt out for Pro Level Tier Support you will get access to the sources and can modify the cam plate to your liking - travel, two-stage engagement, resistance, etc...

The build is quite simple, relatively fast to print and rather cheap. It is stable, feels like much more expensive gear and quite satisfactory.

Files contain several pre-load plates for 30mm springs, also can be adjusted with the lock-nut.

    Main features:

    • Full size sequential shifter
    • Double stage release - initial higher resistance, then sudden release till ends-stop
    • Easily changed resistance by switching springs
    • Cam plate can be modified to different travel-relase-resistance
    • Quiet - being printed part is family/neighbour friendly
    • Big flange M8 ball bearings and 3030 series profile make it very solid
    • Easily mountable to all kind of rigs/deskbrackets
    • Relies on cheap and easily obtainable non-printed parts
    • Lever uses M8 mounting hardware compatible with most aftermarket shifter knobs

If you want high-end reasonably priced full size sequential shifter for your Rally/Drift rig look no further - start building!

  • Pats list:

N.B. - Prices are with VAT and Shipping as I ordered at the time the project was published. Some items i bought in bulk, so % of actually needed parts was adjusted to give you idea of the final price of the non-printed parts needed for this project.

    Print Settings:

Use more than 5 walls, 25% Gyroid infill, 0.2 layer. PETG for stability, PLA will also work. Parts oriented in the way that should be printed. Only parts needing support are the side mounts and microswitch holders.

    For best results I ended up using PLA+ (Sunlu PLA+ 2.0), 9 walls/bottom/top, 45% Gyroid infill.
