Simple Dashboard Display Unit (DDU) in Rally style - something you would see in a modern WRC car. Based on the AX206 3.5" picture frame display and SimHub.
Features QR clip for fast removal (so it does not block your screen when not used). Mounting bracket is for Fanatec DD1/2 - very low profile, can be easily redesigned for other applications. As far as I remember mounting holes on Fanatec bases are same spacing, could work with other models.
The only part that needs supports is the DDU Mounting bracket.
Box and front were printed with 20% infill, both brackets with 40, 5 walls and top/bottom layers for additional strength. Whole unit is quite stable, no play (I have motion as well and need stable brackets). -
Assembly instructions:
- Drill M3 holes in display circuit board
- Widen plexiglass backplate spacer mounting holes (I just cut them with wire cutters)
- Plexiglas spacer on back is used
- Remove all other spacers/faceplates from the display - faceplate has the correct spacing needed to accommodate the screen
