  • Stiff magnetic paddle shifter for sim racing DIY steering wheel projects that accepts all popular 10mm paddles, that can be found easily online. Have somewhat long throw, intended for use on big wheels (330-350mm).

    Shifter is very solid, not so much flex, have pretty good feel. Also magnets are strong, if you wish you can go with less 1mm magnets. I printed them in PLA, pretty satisfying, would imagine with higher infill and harder plastic it will be even better.

    Spacing for paddles is 10mm.

    You have to print two of the sides, one should be mirrored.

     

    Everything was designed to be printed without supports, orientation is also taken into account for best strength.

    4. M3 countersunk screws, I used 16mm ones.
    5. Screws for the switches - 2.5 mm if remember correctly
    6. Neodym magnets - 12mm. I used 5mm thick ones and then added additional 1mm for more strngth.
    7. M3 mounting hardware for paddles and base
